As of Oct 1, 2009, our netlibrary service will no longer be available. Even though the service has been popular here in Soda Springs and across the state, the state can no longer fund the program. But there are audio books and ebooks available and for free! These books are primarily classics and have been recorded by volunteers. Below is a list of sources to try. The library can assist you in downloading the audio books and putting them on your MP3 player, so just ask.

The library rents audiobooks from Landmark every few months to add some variety to our collection. Previously we received this audiobooks on CD. The CD books are no longer available and we will now receive our rented audiobooks on playaways. Playaways are very similar to MP3 players. They have three buttons, play, fast forward, and reverse. All you have to do is plug in your own ear phones and hit play. We are excited about the playaways because they are so much easier to use. The library has some very inexpensive earphones for purchase - Only $2.

If you are looking to get fit, the library has recently added some exercise DVD's. We have a variety of exercise programs - aerobics to pilates to yoga. We even have a salsa dancing/exercise video. Come check them out!

The whole series of Chris Stewart books, ya, any way's here is the list of books he has written: From the End of Heaven, Clear as the Moon, Fury and Light, the Second Sun 'not the first sun but the second sun', The Brothers, Where angels fall, Driving Over Lemons 'not kiwi's, lemons'. Oh and we have the whole Pendragon series too isn't that cool. But in more unimportant news we have a cool new staff member, but super importantly we have already been here super cool staff members.  So come on down and check out some books, use some computers and have a good time. ^_^
