GETTING A LIBRARY CARD
All residents of the city of Soda Springs may obtain a library card free of charge. Come to the library with a valid form of I.D. and a card will be issued immediately.
Reciprocal Patrons: The Soda Springs Library will accept library cards from all other Idaho libraries. Just show us your library card and we will arrange for you to borrow books from us as well.
Paying Patrons: Patrons who do not support our library through their city of Soda Springs property taxes may purchase an annual card for $25 a family.
CHECKOUT PERIODS, RENEWALS AND FINES
Books, CD's, and children's Story Boxes checkout for 3 weeks.
Video, DVD movies, and Audio tapes checkout for 1 week unless other arrangements are made.
Magazines and some reference materials can be checked out for 3 days.
Renewals of items may be done by telephone (547-2606), or
bring the item(s) into the library for renewal.
Fines for overdue items are $.05 a day for most library materials.
Movie fines are $1.00 each day overdue.
INTERNET
Internet use is free to everyone; all we require is for you to sign in/out at the front desk. All printing is .10 cents a page for black/white and $1 per page for color. Internet rules of the library are posted at each computer station and at the check-in clipboard at the front desk. No games are allowed on computers 1-4. Games are allowed on computer station 5 and the children's computer. If you would like to bring a notebook computer into the library, we have free ethernet connections available.
