Storytime!

Good times guaranteed for all who attend story time!

Children's Librarian, Dorajo Messerly, leads you to the joy of reading as well as the fun of creating your own art, craft, and/or games. No registration is required for story time that occurs during the school year. Come as often as you like!

Story time is held during the weeks of the school year.
If school is cancelled for any reason, we will skip that day's scheduled reading. The times for your age group can be found below by clicking on the link for children's events!

The younger children have their choice of a 10:30 AM or 11:30 AM Tuesday session. Choose the one that best fits your needs.

Services offered for children. Our shelves are bursting with
new and old stories that are award winning favorites. We offer books
from the newborn level (board books and big books) to the accomplished
chapter/series readers. A very large selection of reading to
accommodate the Accelerated Reader program is available in both fiction
and non-fiction. Books in CD and Cassette audio format are available.
Children's VHS and DVD movies are always a favorite, as well as the
Mother's favorite - story boxes that follow a theme. The story boxes
contain a mixture of books, games, videos, puppets and more for
imaginative "play dates" with your children. Two children's computers
offering a variety of games for enjoyment and learning are a fun
addition to the children's area.

Special thanks to Read-to-Me, a service of the Idaho Commission for Libraries. Read-to-Me is an early literacy initiative which provides information, training, technical assistance, and resources for Idaho libraries and their community partners.

Our vision is for all parents and caregivers to nurture their children's early literacy skills and for all children to develop as independent readers and become lifelong learners.
